Here's a bit of an update of what we accomplished in 2019 and what is coming up in the next few months.

RSS Rocked the Ice! The Red Shoe hosted another successful Red Shoe Rocks curling fun-spiel The teams were enthusiastic, the costumes were hilarious, and the love for the Ronald McDonald House was abundant. We raised more than $2300 thanks to some very generous folks who spent their Saturday with us. Thank you to all who participated. We hope to see you in November for our next Red Shoe Rocks fun-spie! We will be announcing the date soon, giving you lots of time to work on your costume. We'd also like to thank Lincolnberg Master Builder for being our event sponsor. Your generous support helped us reach our fundraising goal.

Kicking off 2020 with Meals that Mend

We wasted no time getting our volunteering chef hats on this year. This episode of Meals that Mend was a Breakfast for Dinner edition! The House enjoyed eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes on a very, VERY cold evening. The kids were so excited to decorate their pancakes with whipped cream, sprinkles, and, of course, syrup. Hosting a meal for the House is a wonderful way to donate to the Ronald McDonald House, and promises a very fun and rewarding day.

Brews for a Good Cause

We kept the fundraising train running, heading to the Ellerslie Canadian Brewhouse for our second annual "Brews with the Red Shoe" event. Thanks to our 50/50, and very impressive silent auction, we were able to raise $3515, closing out 2019 at a grand total of $11,400 raised! This was well over our goal and we couldn't be more thrilled. Thank you to all who came out to the Brewhouse! You definitely helped make our holidays extra jolly.
